Meaning of Home

What makes a house a home? A home is not just 4 walls and a roof. A home is a place where you feel loved, appreciated, and cared for. A home is a place where you can smell the tasty food being made in the kitchen and you can hear all the kids playing and laughing. These are just a few of the reasons why a house makes a home, there are a lot of other things about home. What home means to me. For me, my home is not just 4 walls with a roof and a bed, it is a good place. My house in McCreary is a happy place where I have fun with my friends and family. My home is where I go when I am happy, sad, anxious, or tired. I love my home because it was always there for me when I needed it most. Why you should be grateful to have a home. You should be grateful because a lot of people do not have a home and must be homeless. You should be grateful to be able to have drinking water and to be able to have a shower, because a lot of people do not have that. You should be grateful to have a parent with you because a lot of kids do not have that and must live in foster care. You should be grateful to have a bed because a lot of kids do not have that and must sleep on the floor. No matter how mad you are always be grateful for everything you have.
