What is Home?

Some say home is a place of love, safety and protection. Others say home is a place of happiness and memories. While more say that it is a place of peace. Yes. Home is all of these but home is also so much more. It is a place of fun and relaxation. It’s a place to be yourself. People say that home is a place with walls or a place with rooms. To me though home is a place where my family is, because wherever I am my family is. No matter where I am, they are always there for me through good and bad times. I wasn’t born here in Canada, but I still consider it my home because my family is here with me. I love my family because they are my home. It’s still good to have a home with walls because I can smell the sweet, beautiful aroma of my mother’s cooking. Not only that, but I feel protected and safe with a home with walls, and it is amazing because I am at peace. Home is amazing because even if I’m not living in a place with walls I’m still with my home. This is the meaning of home and this is what home is. I hope that my writing has been able to help and make a difference for people who don’t have a home. I hope I was able to help with habitat for humanity so more people can take shelter under a roof. Just like how Habitat for Humanity builds strength, stability and independence, I will use my writing to build money for people who are not as fortunate as me. EVERYONE DESERVES A HOME.
