What is Home to me?

Home is a special place where you feel safe, happy, and loved. It’s not just about the house, but the people, the things, and even the emotions that make it feel like your own cozy space. Whether it’s a house, an apartment, or any other place, home is where you can relax, play, and be yourself. When I think of home, I might imagine my family, and my parents, because home is where I get to be with the people who care about me. It’s where I make good memories, like playing games, celebrating birthdays, or having movie nights together. Home is also the place where I can rest peacefully, sleep in my own bed, and feel comfortable. Home has lots of things that make it special, like the smell of dumplings in the kitchen, the sound of my favorite songs playing, or the feeling of snuggling up with my soft blanket. These little things help make home feel warm, familiar, and secure. But home isn’t just a building, it’s where I feel loved and accepted. It’s where I can be myself without feeling judged. Home is a place where I feel safe to share my thoughts, dreams, and even embarrassing stories. It’s full of love, and that’s what makes my home feel extra special. Sometimes, home is more than just a place, it can also be a feeling. It’s where I feel like I belong, even if it’s just with family, friends, or people in my community, like my neighbors. Overall, home is where you feel loved, cared for, and happy, no matter what it looks like or where it is. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for making great possibilities for people in Canada.
