What a home means to me

I love my home. It's filled with love, safety and peace. When I go in my home, I'm greeted with peace. The sound of silence fills the room mixed with the sound of my purring cat and burning candle makes me feel peaceful. The only sound I hear is the sound of quiet whispering. Love to me is also important for a home. Love includes respect and kindness. The rule in my house is "We build people up, not break them down". A home is safe. Nobody is mean to you there, you are not teased or disrespected. You can also always talk to someone in your home, like your parents, siblings, or partner. It's not just the walls and roof that makes you safe, it's the people who love you. A home is not just walls, a roof, and a floor, but it is the loving feeling when you walk through the door. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building homes across the world for people in need.
