Meaning of Home

Hello! I am Sabrina Pellicciotta. I go to St. James the Apostle and I am in grade 5. My home is very unique. 4 people live in my house. I live with my Nonna, my Nonno, my mom and me. To me, my house means safety. I can do things privately there. I don't have to worry about things I don't want to tell the outside world when I can tell the people I trust, my family. To be honest I think I have 2 families. My other family is called a dance family. There are people in my dance family I can trust with my life. They care for me like the siblings I have always wanted. I am an only child and I have never met my real father but... I do have a loving stepfather and 3 older step siblings. My families background is Italian. My Nonna and Nonno were both born in Italy. They share a birthday on March 3rd but they are different ages. In my opinion it is fun celebrating a double birthday. My family means a lot to me. Although we get in to fights, I still love them. That is what my home means to me. -Sabrina Pellicciotta
