The Meaning of Home

Home is where I feel safe and warm any time of the year, as I always know my home is filled with lots of cheer. It’s a place where laughter arises and sadness goes away, with different emotions coming at me every single day. In every corner memories unfold, as I always know my home will never get too old. A house can be big with lots of space to roam, but a home is a place where you’re truly known. A house is built with bricks and stones, but home is a place with a connection that cannot be shown. Home is a place where it’s okay to cry, but home is not a place where you can lie. Home has gotten me through the hardest of times, it’s a place where comfort always shines. A home is not a place built with just bricks and tiles, Home is a place surrounded by smiles. A house has you but nobody else to share, a home has you and the loved ones that care. When I go into my backyard to shout and scream, all the birds come at me as they see me in a dream. When my friends come, over we jump up and down, until we get tired and hit the ground. Habitat for humanity thank you for all you share, I just want you to know how much I care.
