A Walked Into My Home

I walked into my HOME. I smell the freshly cooked food my mother has prepared for my family. I take my boots off and hang my coat up. I see my sister playing a board game with my father. As I walk out to my room, I whisper to myself this is HOME. I climb up the stairs to go to my room. As I walk in I see my cat laying on my bed and my dog lying on the floor, I whispered to myself this is HOME. I go outside and take a walk seeing and hearing so many beautiful things. I see the snow falling from tree to tree. I see the lake shimmering. I whispered to myself this is HOME. I come inside after a long day. I taste the wonderful food my mother cooked for me. I whisper to myself this is HOME. I climb into bed, nothing but silence. As I doze off I whispered to myself this is HOME. Author Chloe Peck
