Home
Roses are red violets are blue,
A house is a building, a home is what's true.
A home is a place where you live and thrive,
A house is just where you try to survive.
The way my heart grows and water in the river flows,
The only thing important to me is my family.
A house can be big and a house can be small but the real thing,
Most important of all is how my love for my family is so very tall.
A home smells like joy and love and that is above,
Feels like a warm hug in the toasty air and that is the most fair.
Looks like a cold rainy day when there's not much to do,
So you sit down and play board games and eat lots of food.
Home tastes like hot cocoa in the winter and juice in the summer.
So that's what I feel when I am at home,
Not just a place where you live but where we grow.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving people a house so they can make it a home.
