A Place Called Home

Home is a shelter where you feel safe and comfortable. It can be anything, a house, an apartment or a condo. It also can be anywhere, providing warmth and making you feel content. Whenever I get home, I feel important, safe and cared for. When I think of home, I think of a variety of things. Homelessness, family, my room, and many more. Having a home is an enormous benefit of your life, and your health too, defending you from harsh precipitation. When I am at home, I smell the wonderful aroma of food. I hear my family talking and walking around the house. This makes me feel not alone and welcomed. I touch the couches and my bed. Touching soft objects makes me feel relaxed and it can help with anxiety. This also makes me have a better day. Have you ever thought about the people with no homes? They stay outside waiting with no homes! Homelessness has a harsh reality, making many people die, so donating to charities helps them a lot by giving them food, shelter, warmth and clothes. Homeless people usually live on the streets and they try to seek shelter in warm public places. For example, subway stations and community centers. The problem is that they still have trouble finding shelter. Homeless people ask for money from people walking past them, but rarely anyone responds. That’s why giving homeless people money can change them a lot. Not just one person has to do all of the work, we’ll use all of our teamwork skills to help the homeless. Whoever you are, a child or an adult, everyone deserves a home. It makes you happy. We can have family conflicts, but still, remember that you have a home, you are lucky, and you are the best.
