What is Home?

In a brick or concrete home, built brick by brick, Or Many splashes of concrete. We are sheltered by its many shingles, Perhaps 400, or 1,000? A home of 1, 2, or 3 floors, And a chilly basement. All full of thriving life. The place we thrive in is not always permanent. And you may want you to keep living in your building. But just in case you don’t know, The love and memories will forever linger. No matter how far you trek, Or where you remain, You need to acknowledge, That you’ll always have the home to shelter you from the rain. And most horrid problems. If home can’t completely get rid of those awful things, At least it can help. The wind hits your buildings bricks. The rain taps your home’s shingles. The coyotes howl outside the front door. But your family is safe inside your home.
