My Home
My Home
Home is a place where you can feel safe and comfortable. Home is no place for fighting. A home isn't just four walls and a roof. It is how it makes you feel and all the things you remember. Even stuff that is old can have memories. A home is a place where you can do anything you want. A house does have furniture like a bed and a sink but can feel lonely without family and friends.
A house is a structure with no memories until you add the memories with your family and your friends. A home has so much old furniture that has stains which have memories. There are things you can do like reading, doing math and watching movies on them. A home has memories like an old couch with stains that are full of fun times. A house can have a new couch but no memories. A table can have many conversations with friends and family and delicious meals. The delicious meals smell scrumptious as we share stories around the table.
The walls of my home are full of memories, like pictures of family and friends. A new house has no pictures, just empty walls and new furniture. When you take a look around a new house you don’t see any memories. The walls of your home can make you feel warm and welcome. A new house can make you feel uncomfortable and cold. The walls of a home can be painted so that they make you feel like it's yours. While a different house makes you feel nothing because the paint looks basic and bland.
One of my favourite memories at my home was my 11th birthday. I had ten friends come over to celebrate. We had cake at my kitchen table and we sang Happy Birthday! My home was filled with laughter. We shared stories and then I opened my presents surrounded by my friends. I will remember that forever.
All these things put together make a home. My home means so much to me because it's safe, warm and cozy. My home is where my family is and where we share all our memories. When I look at my home it reminds me of all the love that we share. My home allows me to have conversations that I will never forget.
