A room to gather where you feel so much joy, Where you sit by the fire and play with your toys. Where you feel the warmth of everyone's love, Where you feel as free as a morning dove. Around the table where stories are shared, With pots and pans, meals are prepared. Where after a long day of stress and not knowing, You sit down, start eating, and feel like you're glowing. Duvets and bunks for sleepovers and fun, A place for waking up to the morning sun. Filled with all your favourite things, Feeling all the bliss they bring. Down the stairs a trove of treasuries, Full of unlocked secrets and memories. Where you play and have so much fun, Where you shine as bright as the burning sun. Though for far too many home isn’t these things. For far too many, happiness isn’t what home brings. Too many feel angry and sad in their home, Sometimes there isn’t enough love that is shown.
