Home
A home is a place to laugh and love, a place to learn and have fun. Home is a place for family. Home is where memories are made. Every day, I wake up in a warm, cozy bed in a warm, safe home. But can you imagine waking up and lying on a bench downtown, then asking for food or money on the side of the street? I love celebrating holidays with my family. My family always celebrates our birthdays. But what if it was your birthday and nobody knew? When I am sick, I always have somebody comforting me at home. But if you don’t have a home, then nobody is there to comfort you.
At my home, I have a good meal with my family every day. When you don’t have a home, you have to ask for food from the cars driving by. When I get cold playing outside in the winter, I can come inside and sit by the fire. But if you have no home, then you are hoping that somebody will give you a jacket.
If anything bad happens at my home, my family will be there to protect me. But when you have no home, you have to protect yourself. I always have fun playing with my brother, and when I feel sad, I can count on him to make me happy again. But when you have no home, you have no company.
A home is not just the physical building; it is the people in the home who you love and who love you.
