Nate’s Meaning Of Home

To me, home is the best place I can be. If someone won the lottery they would have the same happiness as me when I’m at home. One of my favourite places at home is the couch. It's leather and has a blanket made of rabbit fur beside it. When you get on that couch you're not going to be getting off anytime soon. When I’m at home I feel safe and happy. When it’s freezing cold, burning or thunder storming outside I have shelter. And when I’m sad or sick my family cheers me up. In my home I have all I’ll ever need. I could literally stay there my whole life. Sometimes my family has a game night and we take turns choosing a game to play and then we all play it and then someone else chooses. We also have movie nights and we watch a different movie every time. We always have delicious popcorn, a type of candy, and a type of chocolate. The chocolate melts in your mouth and you can suck on the sweet, delicious candy. My favourite movie genre is action. Some people don’t get to have a home, though. Doesn't that sound unfair? There are people without homes here in Winterpeg (Winnipeg), the key word being winter. Could you imagine being stuck outside in the freezing cold? Yeah, I know it wouldn't be fun. Some people even lose their families. Isn’t that sad? They don’t have a family! That is why I’m writing these 2 pages to raise money for Habitat for Humanity.
