What Home Means To Me

A house is just a place with four walls while home has warmth and love coming from the halls. A house is a structure with a roof and a floor, while home could be the wilderness, the place you love deep inside your core. The entryway, a space that leaves the sadness behind, a transition of sorts, from world to mind. The cozy vibes are made to share, they are a thing that you could almost wear. The living room, a place brimming with comfort and care, the love of your family fills the air. A room where you can relax feeling safe and secure, leaves you feeling hopeful and sure. The kitchen, a space filled with aromas and scents, a room where you can hang out with all of your friends. You think you can survive a great deal, when your parents cook you a delectable meal. A cozy bedroom where you can sit with a friend, who like family, will stand by you ‘til the very end. A comfy bed will put you to sleep, or where you and your family can lay in a heap. The home office, a place of trial and error, a space with a desk housing success and failure. It’s a small place where aspirations call, it’s a comforting space from wall to wall. The bathroom, a place of calmness and reflection, a sanctuary, a safe space from the world's rejection. A quiet room where you can relax, a private place with just you and your slacks. What home means to me is the love for my family, the warmth and kindness they always give me. Not everyone wants a house but they do want a home, a place where you can come back to after you roam.
