Home is More Than a Place
Some of us feel at home in one place,
While a house can give you a scare
It's really not that fair.
A house and home do not compare,
A home can be anything,
We love and cherish our home,
A house is the opposite,
It can be lonely to the bone.
A home can’t be bought or fought over.
But it can be loved and cherished each day.
Unique things grow in homes
Giving life to all that's dull and gray.
Could it be memories that are kept like a treasure?
Or could it be like the wind on a Friday evening?
Although some people won't agree.
A house without love can be freezing.
We look and see and we can't believe.
We realize we don't need fancy walls,
Furniture, or designer glasses
Or a bunch of horse stalls.
What we really need is the thought
of love and togetherness.
We can make a house a home by giving
love and care so it looks so effortless.
