Max’s Home

Max was a young boy who lived in a normal house with a roof, door and bedrooms. One day when his mom was making breakfast he went to her and said this house does not feel right. His mom just sighed and turned around. After breakfast he went to his cousin's house and saw they were all happy. The kids were playing inside and the parents were laughing together. This feeling made him sad inside. When he went to bed that night he wondered why his house didn’t feel right. When he woke up he asked his mom to take him to his friend’s house but she yelled NO! He felt sad. His mom wasn’t very nice to him and his dad was always at work and only came back every other weekend. His parents would always fight all the time. The next day he realized why his house didn’t feel right; there was no happiness inside. He decided to fix this problem. He asked his mom why she was always mean and sad and she said, “Cause you father and I fight all the time.” He asked why and she replied, “Your father has been taking the family money and putting it into his account.” Max thought that was horrible. He asked his dad why he had done it. He said, “Cause your mom was spending all the money on herself.” Max had an idea. He decided to make an allowance for his parents about how much money they can spend each day. Days went by and his parents stopped arguing, his mom was a lot nicer and his dad took a break from work. His house was turning into a home and he could tell his house was happy now.
