Meaning of Home

Home is a place with laughter and joy. Home is a place that reminds me that I am safe and secure. It is where I feel loved and cared. The sounds I hear are cooking and the piano playing. The laughter and the joy we all had together. The sounds of watching TV or the sounds of the video games, or the sounds of me digging through my Halloween candy. The sights I see are the nice decorations on the walls, and the pictures of the memories we had together, places that show where we have been together, and some with us during a holiday. Watching the view outside my window, waiting for the cars to zoom past by. The taste when I eat a traditional food in the kitchen that my mom made, has a delightful taste that I probably didn’t taste before, with a satisfying heat of warmth in my body when I swallow. The feeling of being at home is a huge relief, and it is where you could relax and take a break from school, it reminds you that you are safe, and you are cared for and loved by your family. The smells in the kitchen are tremendous and they come with a sweet or sour smell. The candy you have that you collected on Halloween, that smelled super good, some that smelled sour, and some that smell sweet. Home is just more than four walls and a roof, it is where we all make memories together, it doesn’t matter if a home is big or small, it is where you spend time with the people you love, especially the ones who love you back. I think everyone deserves a home.
