The Meaning of Home
Some people think of home as just the things inside their house. Things like phones, ipads, toys and fancy furniture. But they don’t stop to think about the real meaning of home. They don’t imagine what it would be like to not have their pet welcome them excitedly when they get home from work, and being thankful for having a home that is safe to live in, hugs from their family to comfort them when they are feeling sad and having a fireplace to keep them toasty warm in the frigid, icy winter. Imagine what it would be like to have a fancy house and lots of gorgeous, spectacular furniture, but not having anyone to enjoy those things with. Have you ever thought about this: while you are in your warm, cozy bed at night, there are homeless people in the streets trying to find a place to sleep? I am very thankful for my home and I am also thankful for Habitat For Humanity and that they can make a home for others. I hope this writing can help Habitat for Humanity make more homes.
