What Home Means To Me
A home is a place where you feel safe. Home is a place where you have fun and relax. Home means a place to have fun and celebrate traditions. To me, home is where I do sports with friends like soccer and basketball. I also celebrate things like my birthday, Halloween, and Thanksgiving there. It makes you feel cozy inside your home. You will miss your home if you are gone for a long time. I call that home sick! Many people have a home and it may not look like you think. For example, someone's home could be a tent or even under a bridge. But not all people have things in a house like toys. Some people have big homes and some people have small homes. In my home we play games like Monopoly and have traditions like on Christmas Day we have pancakes for breakfast and on New Year's Eve we stay up until 12:00 o'clock and watch the countdown. The difference between a house and a home is that a home is your traditions, family members and activities with people. A house is all your stuff. Home is a place you will always miss. For people sometimes, home is where they want to stay instead of leaving on a trip or vacation. For me, home brings me happiness and joy. Sometimes all I want is to be back at my home. I miss a lot of things that we do in my home when I am away like playing piano with my mom and playing Minecraft with my dad and brother. One more thing I miss when I'm not at home is playing frisbee with my parents and friends. This is what home means to me.
