The Meaning of Home

One day, Lucas was walking home from school and he thought, what is the difference between homes and houses he came up to his little wooden cottage and went in the door. He asked his sister, what do you think home means? " His sister, who had just got back from dance class said “ home is a place we’re you can rest and where you can feel safe. The next day he went to school, he had a terrible day, he was bullied and had a big math test. After school he went to the gas station to get candy to make him feel better but it didn’t. After that he went to the arcade, he played some games but it didn’t matter, he was still sad. Then he went to the swimming pool and went on the water slides but it didn’t help. So he went home and when he saw the little cottage a surge of happiness filled his heart. When he went inside he joined his family on the couch to watch on their little t.v their family show that they always have so much fun watching together. Then he realized that there is nothing better to do to make you feel better than home. Now Lucas understood that, no matter where you live or what size your home is, homes are somewhere where you can feel safe and snug, happy and hopeful, curious and confident, and excellent. Because home is a place where you can be happy.
