What Home Means to me
What Home Means to me
Marcus Bouchard
My house has walls, floors and a ceiling. My home is a place of family, sanctuary, food and a quiet place for reading. It takes hands to build a house and love to make a home.
Everyday, i’ve played games with my family, read with my mom, cooked with my dad and ate with my family. My family is home. Most people find these moments every day activities but I treasure these times.
Last but not least, a home can be anywhere. You can choose where your home is. You can even call school your home. A house is something you can renovate for years but a home is something you have to maintain daily by showing love.
Here's a haiku that me and my friend, Octavio made;
Cold and wet out there
It doesn't matter in here
Warm and dry in here
Finally, everybody should have a home so I write this to bring
30,000$ to Kelowna so that a homeless family can build a big home in a small house.
