House and Home

Home and House By Luna Volk A house and a home are two very different things. For example, a house has just four walls, a roof, and the middle is filled with furniture. A home is similar but a home is filled with love, joy, Happiness, support, and safety. Home to me is music. I absolutely adore music and because I have two families the music tends to move between both of them. I’ve noticed that I listen to sad music at one but joyful music at the other. I have also recognized that I like to be alone when my sad music is on but I love to be with people when my joyful music is playing. I’am so very grateful that my parents opened me up to music at a very young age because now it's my escape from reality. It heals me, it's like my medicine. Another example of why music is home for me is because whenever I am in a fight with my mum or there's a big family argument I put my headphones in and then it’s just me, my thoughts, and my music. I am in love with the fact that there are so many different types of music and depending on how you feel you can listen to that music. Whether it’s sad music, happy music, or spunky music it’s always there for me. House and home are two very different things but you can create a safe, happy, loving environment with positive energy, you have to try. I really have empathy for the kids and parents without homes so this is my part in helping them with all their struggles. I hope you can make or find a house and turn it into a home.
