What Home Means To Me

A house mIght have four walls and a roof but a home Is a place where memories are made with friends and family. It can be whatever you imagIne It to be, because home is more a feeling than a place. I know I am at home when I smell air comIng in the house from outside. When I taste my mom’s homemade meatballs at the dinner table I feel at home. When I lie on my bed, surrounded by my stuffed animals and my blanket I feel at home. When I see my door to my bedroom or the door to my house I feel at home. Whenever I hear my video games booting up I feel at home. But, mostly, I know I am home when I feel happy. I feel happy at home when I play video games with family and friends. I also feel excited when I open gifts from Christmas or my birthday party because home is a place where you celebrate special occasions. This is what I feel when I am at home.
