Home Sweet Home

A home is cozy and full of love, but a house is just a space made of walls. A home is full of care—from washing the dishes to combing your hair. A home is filled with happiness, like the love from your parents. A home feels safe. But did you know that 1 in 8 Canadian households do NOT have a cozy home to call their own? Where do they live? In the ruins of an old building? An alleyway? These are NOT livable houses. Everyone deserves a cozy, safe place to call their home. That’s why we should donate—to help create a brighter future. The more we give, the better the world can become. Maybe, one day, we won’t see people living on the streets anymore. If you lend a helping hand, you can help make sure everyone has a cozy, safe home—a home, not just a house. A home full of love and happiness. Yes, a house might have floors and a roof, but a house is not a home. A home is something more. Always remember, the meaning of home is different for each of us. For me, home is full of laughter—even with my dad’s good but sometimes horrible jokes (okay, sometimes they’re funny). I hope this helps you recognize the true meaning of home.
