Home Is Where I Feel Safe

Some people have to stay out in the freezing cold While some stay inside warm in their household. Home is where my parents embrace To remind me this is my safe place. The kitchen is where I go when my stomach rumbles. But cooking a meal can feel like a puzzle. In the kitchen with mom together we bake Making a mess hope we don’t make a mistake. The living room is where laughs and giggles are shared But sometimes it can be a nightmare. We can have our ups and downs But we can still turn those frowns upside down. My bedroom is my own space My bedroom I can embrace. My bedroom i can decorate My bedroom always feels great. Home is where you grew up and acted like a goof. Blink and your whole life goes by like a poof. Everyone deserves a home Nobody deserves to be in the freezing cold. That’s home
