What Home Means To Me
A house to me is made out of brick walls and a roof, but a home is where you can build a life and make memories. My home is a loving environment filled with happiness and makes you feel safe. When I think of the smell of a house I think of nothing because no one has lived in it and made memories yet. A home smells like a beautiful soft laundry detergent that just came out of the wash. A home tastes like a fresh, tender, juicy, steak that is cooked to perfection. A house feels like a hard, tough surface like concrete. A home feels like a comfy leather couch that gives comfort to people that sit on it.
When I look at a house I see a dark, creepy, lifeless place that people feel over wellmed when they see it. But when I look at a home I see rooms filled with sunshine and warmth. Wherever people go they see this light that shines so bright and it gives them lots of happiness. This is why we need Habitat for Humanity to turn houses into homes, so everybody has somewhere to build a life and make memories with the people they love.
