A House is Not a Home

A house is not a home Just a big empty loan A house is just a big shove A home is love Houses are big and empty Even with the food plenty A house can be full of light Somehow it feels tight A house is where your family awaits When you walk through the garden gates But still a house is not a home Even if it has a gnome A home is where a heart finds rest A home is where you are blessed A home is where you will be When the morning gives you glee It’s not the walls, nor roof above, But in the hands we hold in love Weather by a road or by a sea A home is where our hearts are free.
