Love is What Makes a House a Home

My home is a special place filled with warmth and love. A place where my parents talk as soft as a dove. The place where my cats sit in the sunbeam from above and can cuddle with purrs and love. My house is made out of wood and stone, but it’s the love that makes my house a home. No one is ever alone. My home is where my parents laugh and make meals for my brother and me, or where I feel free to be me. My home is where I sleep at night, my bed’s nice and tight. The warmth from my blankets takes over as I close my eyes, say good night because it feels right. Then I fall asleep in a place I can call MINE. I wake up in MY home, with the smell of bacon lingering in the air. To some kids, it might not seem fair. Though I wish everyone had a home or a place they weren’t alone, or where the animals roam. I wish EVERYONE had a home.
