What Home is to Me
Where my family is, it is my home, it's not the roof above you or the walls beside you. It's where your family is. Not everyone has a mom or a dad, but some have guardians. Everyone should feel safe.
My books help me calm down when I'm feeling anxious. My big tree is in the middle of the garden, and it has a lot of buddhas.
When I come home from someplace, my dogs jump on me. I feel loved when they do that. I snuggle one of my dogs at bed time and I feel safe when I snuggle her, like nothing’s gonna hurt me. She is my best friend no matter what.
When I play, it calms me down when I'm in a fight with someone. What helps me the most is to draw how I feel. I usually draw mountains or meadows, because it’s so calm there.
My family helps me so much! My mom and dad helped me walk for the first time. They are the ones who brought me into this world, they are the people who made me who I am. My sister plays with me so much. She tries to help out so much.
Home is where I can be my true self. Home is where I can look at old photos from when you were little. People have different childhoods, but that is what makes you YOU!
A home is where you feel happy, calm, and most importantly feel safe. Maybe your meaning of home is different, but everyone has a deep feeling about what home is.
