Definition of a Home
One day, a couple of years ago, a very curious child was born. His name you ask, Steve. For the first couple of years of his life, he didn’t have very many questions. Then one day during their daily walk his dad said “Let's go back to our home” Steve thought for a second, and then said, “I thought it was our house”. Steve’s dad almost looked sad for a second. He started choking on his words but eventually said, “Let’s keep walking and I will teach you something important”. They walked for about five minutes in silence. After a while, they started to get out of their neighbourhood, and eventually, Steve said “Dad, I thought we were going to go back to our house”. Exactly”, his dad said. “You don’t know this neighbourhood right”. “Right,” said Steve. “This isn’t our home. “It is just a place where we can come, walk, and drive. Our neighbourhood is our home. It’s the place that we know, the place we love, the place with all of our memories. Our whole neighbourhood is our home. It is cozy, it is where we feel emotions and kindness, it’s where we give kisses and hugs, and it is where we feel laughter and LOVE”. Steve thought about what his dad said and then finally said, “Understand it, home isn’t an object it’s a feeling”! Steve said. “EXACTLY”, said Steve's dad. “Let's go home”, said Steve. “I agree”, said Steve’s Dad.
