The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home To me home is where you feel loved by the people around you, it's when you get excited to see them the moment you get home, you hug them and tell them how much you missed them, you can tell them about how grateful you are to have them in your life. But some people don't have that, the moment they walk through the door they see no loving parent there to greet them. Instead they get told to go to their room and be quiet. When I get home I have a bed, a phone, a laptop, and even a room! But some people don’t even have a roof over their head, or even a bed, not even food on the table. The feeling of being safe and sound, makes me feel comfortable to sleep without a sound, But what if people don't have that, I said. What if they have to take turns waking up at night to make sure one of them has not gone missing. Every time I go home I feel so relaxed, I can lay down in bed and take a nap, I could watch some TV or even a movie! But some people never feel relaxed, they are always hungry and need to find a new place to sleep, but even sleeping is not relaxing for them as they shiver in the night. When I look at my childhood memories I see myself laughing, I remember going on that park slide. But some people don't see happy memories. All they hear is their parents fighting, shivering in the cold night, or even having a scary sight. That's what home means to me.
