The Difference Between a Home and House

My home is not like a house Though my home doesn’t have a mouse A home is clean and spotless I sometimes knit, its knotless A house is a building with four walls And can have many dirty old dolls I have my belongings in my room I clean my room with a broom In my home I have forks I use them to cut pork In my home I feel alive And no, I wasn’t stung by a bee from a hive I have the best family pets in my home While a house wouldn’t even have a comb I love my moms delicious cookies You can tell there not made by any rookies I feel comfortable inside I am safe with my feet in the low tide A house isn't always in the best condition You can't do things without permission In my home i smell turkey at thanksgiving I am very grateful for living I hear my brother playing games Shouting like he's full of fame My parents care for me They sometimes make me tea I love my parent’s home cooked meals They care about the way I feel Many house are rotting from old wood They need help feeling good I feel free inside the walls of my space When some people have scratched up faces I love my home it's my safe place It is my own area and space A house can be unsafe sometimes In my home I have a bedtime I hang posters on my wall And go to the mall
