What Home Means to Me

Home is a place where you can go after a long hard day. Home is a place full of emotions. Home is something everybody needs. Home is full of the smells from my Nan cooking something amazing for dinner. Home is my papa helping her cut up meat and veggies. Home is the comforting sounds of their voices. Home is dishes clinking in the kitchen. Home is the sound of laughter from my brother. Home is my dad’s voice reading bedtime stories. Home is my dad waving goodbye as I go to school and waiting for a big hug at the end of the day. Home is the photos of my family that we treasure. Home is the warm soft fur of my cats when they cuddle with me. Home is the feeling of my bed where I can just be cozy. Home is the cozy inside hug when I eat macaroni. Home is the chip clip on my nose when I give my cats their smushy, stinky food. Home is feeling comfortable and safe. Home is something everybody needs. Thanks to Habitat for Humanity to make sure everyone has a safe comfortable place to live in.
