The Feeling of Home
Home is a place to remember and love,
To feel and wish and all of the above.
Home is a place more than a bunch of stone bricks,
But to live and grow even with a few tiny ticks.
Home is a place of surprises and tricks,
Even if it means to suffer from some kicks.
Home is a place that should not be scary,
But a place to eat and gobble up cherries.
Home is a place to snuggle and sleep,
And remember all the things that you get to keep.
Home is a place, not a burden to carry,
But a shelter where you can live, free from being wary.
Home is a place filled with laughter not strife,
To keep out the bad feelings that you feel in life.
Home is a place not just stairs and a door,
Instead you find a wish that’s not much of a bore.
Home is a place where peace had always ruled,
Except for some people that always get fooled.
Home is a place for jokes and joy,
Not where two children fight over a toy.
Home is a place just for me and you,
This is our secret, keep it too!
