My Home

Home isn’t always a place. Home is mine and home is yours. Home can be a turtle's shell or a bird's nest. Home can be the sound of laughter or the feeling of love. I see home as a feeling. It’s calm water and a fuzzy blanket. It’s me and my family in one room together having fun. All homes can be different. What matters is that your home is yours and it represents you. So many people don’t have a house, but they do have a home, in my opinion. Home can be anything. It could be mountains and lakes and trees that touch the clouds. It could be cozy warm blankets in a house. It could even just be being with family. All that matters is that at your home, you feel safe and like you belong. Home is in your heart. Home is a feeling that never leaves. In the hardest moments of deep despair, you can go to your home and feel the love and comfort all around you like a big warm hug. My home is my family because they’re always there for me. Wherever I am, if they’re there I’m home. With my family, I feel complete happiness and like I can touch the sky. With them, I am home.
