Meaning of Home
What one defines a home may be different from others around them. To me, there's a difference between a house and a home. A home is somewhere you can feel comfortable, and safe. A house is a form of shelter you can buy with money. A home is not just four walls with a roof. It is somewhere you can make memories with the people you love, like smelling the best homemade meals from your grandma, making cookies with your mom and secretly eating the raw cookie dough, and your sibling that you say you hate but deep down you love them.
A home is somewhere you can express yourself without being hesitant. Home is where you can be as bright as the sun, like flowers blooming as colourful as a new set of crayons. A house is just something we here refer to as just some Lego walls with a Lego roof. But a home is somewhere you can run around, feeling like you have the freedom to do anything in the world.
But a house is still a house, even when no one lives in it. A home is sometimes not just walls, it's two eyes with a heartbeat. A house though is just a structure with frames and windows. A home though is like a resting place, you may always return to be surrounded by loved ones that u wish will never decay. It is like a fireplace, it makes you warm and has a heat wave of memories. But a home is something you cannot build without love deep down in your heart. A house is just like pasta it can break easily, unlike a home. A home is like a warm hug every time you go in it. That is what home means to me.
