The Most Important Thing Home

The most meaningful thing to me is home Not just a house with 4 walls or a comb A space of belonging, love and story A place of forgiveness when our hearts feel sorry There is one special thing that I always remember With loved ones, pets and Christmas in December I feel so thankful for the gifts I’ve been blessed Home is better than all the rest I can embrace my quirky and unique self I always try to take care of my health Surrounded by people who’d risk their life Without a thought they'd save me from a throwing knife Where I can bawl and have tears in my eyes Having those special people is a prize My life is just so wonderful It's just so very colourful I could definitely choose friends instead But I choose family right to the very end Even if I'm in a fight They are always there to hold me tight The memories bring back happiness And make me reflect on how they loved my craziness I took my childhood moments for granted And now I miss the seeds that were planted My past reminds me to love in the present Missing my father when he was absent The times that we share I will cherish forever And home is when we are all together With my most wonderful HOME But never perfect for others For me it’s just right And home is always and forever
