A House Isn’t A Home

A house could be grand with golden lamp’s and spiral stairs. But a home is something out of a dream. A house is just a place to go at the end of the day. But a home is somewhere to love and be loved. A house may not be yours. But a home is where you can truly be you. A house is just a building taking up space. But a home is where your family will gather to enjoy your piano being played. A house could be dangerous and scary. But a home is always warm and comforting. A house is just something to see. But a home is where you can scratch your dog and watch The Price Is Right. A house is just something made of concrete and plastics. But a home was made with love, joy, and care. A house is just a roof and a few walls. But a home is somewhere you can cozy up and read a book. Thank you habitat for humanity for making places for people to call home!
