The Five Senses Of Home

Home is a place where lots of things can happen, happy or sad. You can do anything when you're at home. If home were a smell it would be warm buttery popcorn that my mom would bring downstairs for movie night. If home were a smell it would be fresh chocolate chip cookies coming out of the oven. If home were a smell it would be tall pine trees waving in the wind at my nono and nona’s house. If home were a sight it would be my cute little puppy coming to give me and my family a bone as a gift. If home were a vision it would be my snowy snowboard after going down Sun Peaks mountain. If I were to invision home it would be majestic deer running around my nono and nona's yard. If home were a feeling it would be my Mom and Dad giving me a warm and cozy hug after a long hockey tournament. If home were a feeling it would be the mini couch in my room where I usually relax and watch YouTube. If home were a sound it would be birds chirping as I wake up on a warm peaceful day. If home were a sound it would be happy laughter as me and my family watch America's Funniest Home Videos on my downstairs TV. If home were a taste it would be the perfect warm risotto fresh off of the stove that my nona made with love. If home were a taste it would be hot chocolate in a grinch cup that I've had since I was six. Home isn't just a place, home is somewhere you can be loved, heard, seen and understanded.
