If Home Were The 5 Senses
If home was a taste, it would be my mom’s freshly made spaghetti bolognese with garlic bread. It would be the chili and rice we eat while watching the super bowl.
If home was a smell, it would be the beautiful aroma of fresh rain on the grass in spring. In the winter it would be the smell of pine and hot chocolate on the drive back from getting a Christmas tree.
If home was a feeling, it would be the urge to play with my balloon even though it annoys my brother so much. It might also be my hands and feet starting to wrinkle in the hot tub with my brother, mom and dad after twenty minutes.
If home was a sight, it would be my luscious green plant that is bending to avoid the roof which is 16 feet tall. Another sight I relate to my home is my family, cousins and I sitting around a campfire roasting marshmallows after sledding on a crisp winter night.
If home was a sound, it would be my cousins and family all singing Christmas carols together. It might even be my dad calling “Breakfast is ready” in the morning after cooking scrambled eggs.
To me home makes me feel cozy, warm and loved, its where my family laughs and cries
Finally, home isn't something possible to see with your eyes but it is with your heart.
