What Home Means to Me

Home is a place where I feel warm and safe, especially in my mom’s tight embrace. My step dad might be late, but I always know he's on his way. To fist bump me while he walks by, or even just to say Hi. My older brother might be mean, but I can tell he has a soft spot just for me. I can be myself in my home, knowing I can't leave people alone But they all love me for me, and that's why they let me be. A home is where you can be open and honest, not to be scared or hide away from your loved ones who want a say. With a warm insulated building not everyone can live in. My favourite place is my home, because memories made there are always my favourite. A home is not just a home, it's a place where you grow. In Canada here it snows. You could turn on the heat, but it won't feel the same as the warm smile your mother gives when you reach a new feat. Think of home more than just a home, it's more a place to grow.
