The Place I Call Home

Home is more than just a place, it’s a feeling. It’s where we find comfort, safety and belonging. For some, home is a physical structure, like a house or apartment, where they eat, sleep, and spend time with loved ones. For others it is not tied to a specific location but is wherever they feel at peace. Home is where memories are made. It could be the laughter shared. Home is where happiness is in the whole room. Home is when it is filled with joy. I hear the beautiful voices of my parents and I hear my dad is having a meeting call with his manager. I can smell the aroma in the house and I can smell the food for our family dinner. I can touch the furniture in the house and also the food. I can see that my family is having a good time together and I see that my little sister is studying or watching tv. I can taste spicy food at home and also I can taste sweet stuff. These are all the senses that welcome me when I come home. Home is where everything happens so fast. Home is where you can speak your own language like Telugu. Home is where you celebrate your traditions. Home is where you pray to god. Home is where the new year comes to you. Home is where there are tight warm hugs for my family and kisses. Home is where you play with toys with my little sister. Home is where you and your family pictures are hanging on the walls. Home is when the clock keeps ticking by. Home is where it smells fresh and clean. Home is where me and my sister do arts and crafts. That’s why home is the best place to live.
