What Home Means to Me
Home can mean many different things to different people. For me, a home is not just the physical space, but it is part of who I am. It is a place where I create memories, feel a variety of emotions and feel safe in my room. My home is part of my soul.
Home is a place where you can create memories and reflect on old ones. Sometimes, it can be a place which hosts great family gatherings and dinners. It can be a place of joy and laughter at hosting parties. On other occasions it can be a peaceful haven to reflect and think in peace. These memories can last a lifetime.
The emotions and feelings of all my family members play a big role in the spirit of a home. When the atmosphere is tense in my home, I feel slightly more stressed. In contrast, when everyone is joyful, I experience the same happiness. When my family is present, there is an ecstatic atmosphere, because a home is a place you share a variety of emotions.
I believe that the most personal part of my home is my room. It is comparable to a plush cloud in the sky, as comfortable as a cotton field. My room protects me from the frustrating storms of snow and rain, like a peaceful sanctuary that shields me. In my room, I can be transported to another universe where I am not bothered but hidden from the world.
Home is within and is part of who I am. It is a place to create memories, to feel emotions and where I can retreat in my room for tranquility. I now realize home is part of my soul and will travel with me from house to house.
