Home Sweet Home
A home is a place to go, a place to bond,
it's a connection fond.
A home is not just a place with a roof and walls,
A home is a safe place even when the night falls.
When my Mom calls for dinner, I am playing outside,
Then my stomach starts growling from the inside.
We eat perogies, fries, and meat,
May the homeless receive a feast, an act truly sweet.
I am thinking about how more than 150 million homeless people are living,
A home is a place for giving and forgiving.
I feel bad for the 150 million people on the street or in shelters,
They range from children to elders.
I am thinking of ways to end homelessness,
So that there is an end to loneliness.
Although one person can’t solve everything alone,
If we work together, we can reshape what's known.
