The Meaning of Home

For me, a word for the meaning of home is memories. Out in your backyard you have your memories with your family, and your friends. Your home is your childhood, home to many memories and people that are important to you. One of these memories could be the first time you rode a bike without training wheels. Or your 10th birthday party. For adults it could be your first job, or even your first child. Home means a lot of important things to everyone. Other times home can be the things in it; Your loving parents, your TV. Possibly even your stuffed animal that you always slept with for comfort. Home can also provide other needs, like warmth, shelter, water, food. Home has your bed, your kitchen, and your backyard. However, a home is just a house without memories. A house is just a building, and a home is a building, but a home is also your memories. Almost all of the things that are important to you are in your home. Moving to a different house leaves behind those memories in a home, and the only way to make a house a home is to make memories. Have a special day in your house, and you can make it a home.
