Home: An Essay
For me the meaning of home can not be simplified to one word, home is many things. Home is where I sleep, home is where I swim and home is where my favourite people are. But there are also places where home isn't. Home is not where stress is, home is not where I don’t feel safe.
Home is where my mom, dad and little brother are, and home is where I want to be at the end of the day. But also home could be my home swimming pool, Iroquois Park sports centre. Sometimes home is a place I don't want to be though, home can sometimes be stressful or stimulating. When all I want to do is collapse on my sofa after a long and tiring day. Though when I am at school it doesn't feel like home, because almost every day I learn something I didn’t know before or something exciting happens.
Why can home be so many different things to me? Well it’s because I have so many experiences that home takes many forms. For example, home is my best friend’s house too. But home is not just a place home might even be things, such as my TV or my vast stuffie collection.
In conclusion, home is where I feel the most comfortable in my life to be there until university. And it is where my favourite people are for wherever my family is, my home will always be with them.
“The magical thing about home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back.” - Wendy Wunder
