Where I want to be

Where I want to be A place like home with my family. With my family I am safe and sound Where I am always with them all around. When I am playing hockey with my brothers I feel happy and safe like all others. When I’m rushing down the ice, then I score Then I hear my family yell and roar. When I’m watching a movie on the couch Then I fall and get an ouch. Then my mom comes and makes it better and out That’s what home and family is all about. When I smell that lovely smell That’s how I know I’m safe and well. When I get ready to take it out of the tin Then I start eating it and I have a grin. When I go downstairs to play with a toy I get so much excitement and so much joy. Then I decide I should make a test To see how much I can get in a rest Then I realize how lucky I am to have a home Others have homes just like garden gnomes. I am so grateful to have family and friends I hope love and faith never ends. Right before bed I get a hug Then my mom tucks me in snug as a bug. Then I doze off to an amazing sleep After I count some beautiful sheep. I’m thankful for stuff like google chrome But I’m most thankful for family and home. I hope all of you have a place to stay Because truly home is the best place to be. I am thankful for Habitat for Humanity to make a house. It can be for elephants or it can be for a mouse. This is where I want to be. A place where I can be me. Home.
