Home
Home is a haven of joy, happiness and love.
A place you feel you’ve never left.
But when you do catch yourself leaving, it feels like your heart just ripped in two.
And you’re covered with a blanket of sadness and grief.
However, when you do eventually return, home runs up and hugs you.
And it feels like it will never let go.
But when it does let go, you smell cinnamon scented candles scattered around the house.
You feel like you’re entranced in some sort of sleep spell and you’re slowly drifting away into a deep sleep.
And with the little energy you have left, you stumble to your big beautiful bed and with every passing minute you feel yourself starting to doze off to sleep.
It feels like you’ve been standing your whole life and you just sat down.
The next day you decide to start off your morning by taking a walk on a nice breezy autumn day down by the lake KWOUSH! Goes the wind as you walk into the sunset. And that’s why I’m thankful for Habitat for Humanity for giving everybody a home.
