A Nesting Haven
Home has a roof over my head,
Home is where I get fed.
A home has a backyard where I can play,
Home is where I can wake up and have a good day.
Home is where I will feel loved,
I don't have to worry about getting shoved.
A sanctuary where hearts are moved,
In the embrace of a home, life's symphony grooved.
But unfortunately, some people lack a fire, no crackling charm,
To keep them warm in a world of harm.
A quarter of our globe is in dire need,
Yet, wonderful people, a helping deed.
Habitat for Humanity donates, raise funds, extend a hand,
To gift the homeless a piece of land.
Little kids without homes, no memories to find,
With a home, treasures in their hearts, enshrined.
Together, we can make their world less gray,
And brighten their path with a compassionate ray.
